Calcium silicide is also called calcium silicon. It is good deoxidizer and desulfurizer in steelmaking.
Calcium of Calcium silicide is a powerful modifier of Oxides and sulfides. It transforms alumina inclusions into complex Calcium aluminate compounds, improving the steel castability of continuous casting process, avoiding deposits of solid inclusions inside tundish nozzles, preventing clogging.
