Silicon calcium barium alloy is consists of the contents Ca and Ba and used for the deoxidation of steelmaking.
The advantages of barium and calcium are high density, high boiling point and low vapor pressure compared to other deoxidizing elements. Barium can improve the solubility of calcium, form low melting point compounds with calcium and reduce the content of nonmetallic inclusions. It has strong ability in desulfurization and deoxidation of steelmaking.
