Compared with ferro silicon
- Low aluminum and nitrogen content of silicon carbide make it more purity than ferrro silicon
- Silicon Carbide provides more C energy than Ferrosilicon when equivalent silicon units are used
- Silicon carbide is a very cost effective material to replace Ferro silicon used as deoxidizer in steelmaking
